Saturday, August 18, 2007 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM	The Venerable Lama Karma Samten	An Introduction to Chod Unitarian Universalists Fellowship 1036 Solana Drive Solana Beach, CA Lama Karma Samten was born in 1947 in West Tibet, at Gertse. His parents were originally from East Tibet, but whilst on pilgrimage to Mt. Kailash they decided to settle there. When Lama Samten was five, he went to live with one of his uncles at a Sakya monastery. It was here where he first took refuge, and spent five years with his uncle who was his first teacher.

Public Talk - Friday, October 5, 7:00 PM October 6-7, 2007	Venerable Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin	Ngondro Guru Yoga Unitarian Universalists Fellowship 1036 Solana Drive Solana Beach, CA Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin was enrolled in the first class of Karma Shri Nalanda Institute at Rumtek with Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche and Sangyay Nyenpa Rinnpoche. He received the Acharya degree from Nalanda Institute and Sampumanand Sanskrit University, jointly, in 1991. As a Khenpo, he taught Buddhist philosophy for six years at Nimalung Monastery in Bhutan. From 1997 to 2002, he was Senior Abbot/Principal Teacher at Nalanda Institute at Rumtek Dharma Chakra Center.
